Starting today and running for the next 2 weeks, thought leaders from the US, UK, and France will be posting a blog a day around the theme of SELF.
After the events of the past several days, in both Paris and Beirut, I realize that focusing on SELF might seem selfish to those who have recently lost their lives. Critics may wonder, "How can you be thinking of yourself, when so many others are suffering?"
For me, understanding oneself is the first step to better interacting with the world and those around you. By having awareness of yourself, your thoughts, your feelings, your fears, your defenses, and your blindspots, you can bring your best self to everything you do, and to everyone you do things with.
By knowing yourself, you can live, love, and lead in a whole new way. We are all leaders in our own way, and how you lead is a reflection not just of what you do, but of who you are.
As your relationship with yourself improves, so does your relationship with others, even those who are difficult to understand--even your enemies.
It takes courage to look into your own dark corners, and by doing so, you can have more compassion for other people's dark corners.
With that said, I would like to introduce you to the wonderful contributors to this project. The schedule, their topic, and a link to their website can be found below.
I truly hope that you join us for this amazing project.
To ensure that you don't miss out on any posts, I recommend that you follow the contributors on social media, or you subscribe to their newsletter.
To being your BEST self,
Theresa
